Monty was called to the ministry in 1991 and left the US Army to pursue becoming a Preacher. Due to all the different denominations, it wasn't long before he learned that the doctrine that he could teach wouldn't accept him as a divorced man and the denominations that would accept him he couldn't bring himself to teach their doctrine.

He never got serious again about the calling until 2000. God called him and Tammy into the Christian Motorcyclist Association. During that season, Monty was ordained 24 January 2001 and preached the gospel on the highways and byways. In 2005 Tammy and Monty started working on the Van Horn Ministries as God had put it on their heart to start a local ministry that caters to the biker community. The ministry became a 501(C)3 in 2006. In December of 2007 the Lord released the couple from the CMA ministry and led them to join the Chariots of Light Christian Bikers organization. The Lord brought them into another field of harvest on 17 January 2010 when they stepped out in faith and started Highway 2 Heaven Biker Church.

Ethan Van Horn is already anointed and laying hands on the sick and hurt. He lays hands on and prays for those that mention their ailments in his presence! He was named “Lil Light” by a 1%’er during St. Valentine Massacre 2009. We couldn’t have picked a better name!
